Science & Applications
Computer Science and Applications is an academic
program offering. This area of study adopts the philosophy
that all students must be well prepared to use current technologies
to enhance, support and enrich the total college prep experience.
The skills gained in these courses will prepare young women
to succeed in both a higher academic institution as well
as a technological society. Computer Science and Applications
is taught as an interdisciplinary study designed to reinforce
and enhance higher level problem solving, communication
and critical thinking skills. All courses are one term.
Applications are required for all AP and Honors courses
(H)
Instructor
Mr.
Reel is in his eighth year teaching at Loretto
High School. Prior to teaching Mr. Reel worked at
Wells Fargo Bank. Mr. Reel completed his B.A. in History
and earned a M.A. in Liberal Studies at California State
University Sacramento. Born and raised in the Sacramento
area, Mr. Reel is a graduate of Christian Brothers High
School.He is an avid Manchester United Soccer supporter,
is married to a Loretto alumnae, and has a two year old
son.
