Four terms of Visual and Performing Arts are required for graduation.

A yearlong Visual or Performing Arts course and a one-trimester heritage course in the opposite discipline are required.

EXAMPLE: Foundations in the Visual Arts and Music History and Appreciation Theatre Arts or Broadway Bound or Choir and Art History.

Students who complete a yearlong course in both Visual Arts and Performing Arts may select either Art or Music History to satisfy the heritage requirement.

Department courses are either one term or yearlong as indicated in the course descriptions. Arts courses may be taken as electives in all four years of high school and are recommended for college bound students.
